took the original and increased the image size about 1/4 inch all around.
(i.e.: from 9.079 x 6.904 to 9.5 x 7.4)

On the new image, selected out the shell and to the rest, applied slight lens blur.

Superimposed the original to the new image and adjusted opacity to something interesting. (instant zoom)

Erased edges where the shell overlapped.

I got the idea for this from reading about the Orton Effect, where you superimpose images (of the same size), and one image is treated to a blurring effect. I haven't tried that yet, but will soon, probably.

It's fun to play around with some of those filters, isn't it. The blur gives the shot so much more energy.

Interesting technique - it makes me seasick though. I can't make the image hold still, it keeps moving like a mini video.
