 I went out last Tuesday to last minute shoot for Urban Landscapes and saw this which I think (thought,,,hopefully) would be a good entry for the Point of Color challenge. Not sure I got it but I like it anyway. That of course spells trouble.

This is the top of the Arch Street Presbyterian Church (the dome in Dappled Dome: ) against the nearly completed, but occupied, Comcast Building. Comcast is curently the tallest building in the city but I read somewhere that plans are in the making for one that is even taller.

Post: Camera Raw adjustments in PSElements 6.0. Convert to jpeg. Clone/spot heal dust. Cloned a blown out window towards the top on the left of the skyscraper. Cloned out a small portion of another building that was on top of the church roof right where it meets the skyscraper (iffy, I think but it had to go). Crop in right to center. Distortion tool to even the bottom. Crop in left to expunge another building mid left and in right to compensate.Disortion tool to further straighten the bottom. Power Retouche lens distortion correction to remove bowing at bottom. Cropped top and bottom for aspection ratio of 1.50:1. Layer adjustments for levels, brightness/contrast and hue/saturation. Sharpen. Curves adjustment. Resize. Sharpen.

A really interesting perspective, especially with the point of color spread across the very bottom the frame like this. It's different, but it works.

Nice composition but I think I may have liked it better with more sky at the top, it just seems to be a little crowded. Still beautiful reflections and the nice gold colour at the bottom definately meets the challenge.
