 After reading Gordon's tutorial on painting with light, I decided to play with this technique. It's a slight modification: I hand-held my flash and pressed the "test" button manually. I tried a couple of different orders of operation and found it worked best to pop the flash last instead of first. Other than that, it's straight Painting With Light.

Post processing is limited to sizing and USM.

Frame nailer a very powerful tool. Showing it in someones hand could be an alternative view that might prove to be interesting. But this is a still-life - lighting on this adds drama but I could see a tighter crop. Spreading the air hose coil around the picture plane might address the spot on center focus of the subject.
