great idea, it's a shame macro flowers are so hard to do

Too bright. If tamed down all the folaige might be in focus. Good thought and subject otherwise.

Focus is soft, and colour is almost over saturated, not sure what the concept is?

Lovely picture though the sucject itself doesn't fit the assignment except for your title.
10/18/2002 02:02:00 AM
don't know what the sin is here.

The irredescent lighting of the petals makes this image. Good job.

Good point, but I think it fails to meet the challenge, it should have something that I could figure out without the title.
10/15/2002 08:38:00 PM
The light makes everything look like plastic.

Nicely composed and the thorns will certainly cause pain

Very nice picture of flowers although it doesn't scream '7 deadly sins' to me. Without the title, it's a picture of roses. With the title, I can read heavy meaning in here... like "While the sin may look good on the surface, there are consequences"... I'm always torn as to if the title should be considered... I'm leaning toward giving it to you since titles ARE there, so they SHOULD be considered. Besides, I'm sure you are being hammered by the "doesn't meet the challenge" crowd already. Ok, I'll buy it :) Nice effort, meets the challenge and an extra point for a brave, unique interpretation! ~MyQyl~

huh?

Really nice photo of these roses. I've read the title several times and I still don't get the challenge part. Parts of the roses have an almost pastel appearance, I like that. Explainations accepted. 6 Swash

I'm sure you're getting hell about not meeting the challenge, but I get the thematic connection so that's fine with me. The shot itself is average, but the theme of beauty masking pain/damage is excelent. 8 wingy

Has nothing to do with this challenge!
10/14/2002 09:55:00 PM
the picture doesn't make me think of sin at all.
10/14/2002 09:24:00 PM
Good composition and colors, but i think i am missing something. Are they symbols for a sin? That is going to be my assumption. karmat

I like the idea and love the vibrancy of the flowers
10/14/2002 06:37:00 PM
The title helps explain, but this looks like a "pretty shot" was just submitted to get higher votes. I don't think of sins when I look at beatiful flowers. It's a great flower picture!

I am not sure how this fits within the current challenge
10/14/2002 11:59:00 AM
Nice pic, but I dont see how it fits the challenge.
10/14/2002 11:33:00 AM
A bit oversaturated.

wrath? no. Pride? no. Envy? no. Sloth? no.Greed? no. Gluttony? no. Lust? no. Sorry cannot work the idea behind this picture...

Pretty flowers, but I don't understand how it meets the challenge.
10/14/2002 05:42:00 AM
Nice flowers :) I'm apparently too shallow to understand how this photo meets the challenge... - setzler
