 The start of the switchback path leading up to Rheinstein, a castle along the, you guessed it, Rhein river. It's across the river from Assmannshausen and up the road a piece from Bingen.

Bingen to Koblenz has all the castles as I recall ...and there is a special monument high on a hill...I know this is vague but it was a long time ago 1976 or 1980 when I was there. Can you refresh my memory?

I love looking at your shots from Germany because it reminds me of when I was there
