A small tombstone from the late 1800s in a historic cemetary not far from our home. Pitted and Cracked, but still marking where someone lost their child.

I agree: B&W is perfect. I wonder whether it's possible to brighten up some of the midtones on the gravestone without losing contrast with the background.

lol I think black and white is perfect for this. I love how it enhances the textures on the stone and makes the letters pop. Great composition and good subject for the challenge.

A great subject but the black and white did not do justice to it.
Possibly too close? The whole stone in color may have been more effective
