You'll always get a lower score when you submit a picture of a peice of artwork that is not yours, even if you present it in an interesting and dramatic way. When the voter sees an image like this she/he thinks "But the sculptor did all the work" but when they see an old barn, they will attribute the "find" to the photographer. Its a voter quirk thing that cost you that half a point, and always will. |

This one did not come up for me in voting, but my impression is the perspective does not work. My eye is drawn up past the subject and instead, to the out of focus window in the background. Perhaps because that is where the strong color is. The statue having it's face worn off may be a contributing factor to that as well. |
