My dog meadow sits politely outside my office window when she wants to come in (she's trained to sit there without barking). I always liked the look of this, which I thought was a little "painting like" (not painterly, though) and wanted to get a good capture of this. I've taken some over the past months, but I used the challenge as a reason to get a good one.

She was of course very cooperative as she was trained. I took about 100 shots over 2 or 3 days; lighting outside was never very cooperative, and I had to really clean my window well after noticing in the first few attempts the effect of dirt.

I was a little disappointed in the rank finish of this; I really liked this one. I'd appreciate any additional comments as to why you think it did so poorly.

And not too shy about it either. Of course, in this situation, the person with the camera is usually outside the window ...

A cute subject. I believe a little less USM may have produced a softer, more appealing (to me) photo.

How cute! I was waiting for the page on my old computer to load and was not anticipating this at all when it finally loaded all the way. I could see the title but had to wait for the rest of the picture. I love it!

I like the dog's expression, and good use of the blind to control the lighting. (7)

Excellent shot - one of my favorites of the challenge. Very nicely, exactingly framed, and the dog looking in really adds something - gives you a subject that's used well in conjunction with the window. 10

Nice job...blinds really add a nice touch and prevent blinding us from the sun!
