 Taken last minute in my garden of a samari statue I have near my pond that had taken a battering from the rain and is a little worse for wear

Don't expect much from it as it's not overly exciting but I really like the statue and so I thought i'd enter anyway

PP: Conversion from RAW in lightroom with contrast and blacks adjusted
Into CS3 for a levels, USM, B&W, more USM, border

I thought this should have placed higher as well. Very good subject for the challenge, it's a wonderful statue and I like your composition. Excellent B&W tones. The cobweb is quite noticeable but I'm not sure that's a bad thing, despite comments to the contrary.

I like the cobweb and love the image. Just because an image doesn't immediately shout in your face doesn't make it a bad one. Quite the opposite in my book. Should have placed much higher. Well done.

the 'string' coming out of his head is very distracting, the image is good overall 7
