The red straw is for stirring, not sipping ;)
INGREDIENTS:
1 or 2 shots of gin
enough ice to keep the drink cold
tonic water
lime
PREPARATION:
put ice in glass, pour in gin, followed by tonic water. Squeeze a wedge of lime into the drink, rub some of the lime juice on the rim of the glass, and finally drop the squeezed lime wedge into the glass. Stir, drink, enjoy!
Assuming you're using quality ingredients, the only way to mess this drink up is to use flat tonic or to not have ice. Finding the exact proportion of gin to tonic water is best found through experimentation. I've found that the colder the drink is, the more liquor you can get away with packing into it.
SETUP:
Shot on black construction paper with another piece of black construction paper for the background. Lit with a single ab1600 monolight w/ 7" reflector, 1/32 power, 45 degrees on camera left. White foamboard reflector on camera right.
