 2 cups fresh basil leaves, (From pop's Garden)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup Olive oil (from our Olive groves in the Peloponnese!)
3 tablespoons pine nuts or walnuts
3 garlic cloves, finely minced

Pasta cooked al dente...

POST CHALLENGE:
Well...that was a bummer...considered withdrawing but was nervous about messing up and having another disqualified image... was kinda hoping for the brown at least...

At any rate I've never gotten so many comments before!!! : P

Obviously its a pesto straw and the drink is right out of frame. Major oobie points! Bummer about the score, I think it would have scored well if it had been put in the other box with the food. I like the simple composition with leading lines to the fork.

i like your photograph. it certainly does make me want to try some pasta! maybe not quite a beverage... but a fun shot :)Perhaps even a little more DOP next time to really blur out the background, and really focus on the foreground: the fork and pasta. Mm!
