A nice take on the challenge, and an interesting angle that shows the engine well. I think a good cleaning of the engine would make this a better shot. And, of course, a V-8 engine with bright chromed valve covers would better illustrate the muscle of an American super-powered car. |

I get the theme, it meets the challenge but this comes across as a simple snapshot. If I had to shoot this subject I might have zoomed in very close on one part of the engine as a macro shot and really picked up on the textures. |

this looks a little flat. maybe you could have gotten closer and played with your dop a little. |

this looks like the engine in my car. the weak 160hp engine in my 4800 pound car. (ford 400). if this be the 460 or 429 then more power to ya (LOL) |

Very low contrast and uninspiring lighting. Unless you're a mechanic, I don'th think the image shows "power", as most of us don't know what we're looking at (okay, it's a V8 with a carburettor engine, but that doesn't help much...) |
