A quick macro shot in my basement 'studio'. I rubbed some canola oil on the peppers, rolled them in sugar, and placed them carefully on parchment paper.
Editing: Levels, curves, selective colors, noise ninja, minor sponge tool to saturate stems, minor burning on peppers to increase contrast on sugar crystals. Minor cloning on left stem to remove brown spot. Crop, resize/ save for web, USM post resize, add border.
Post Challenge: In hindsight, I never should have entered this. The details, creativity, and set up were just not there.... |

I think it's a fun idea with great play on words. I guess the worst part is that after you submitted you wish you hadn't. Still a great macro with beautiful colors and lighting. |
