 This is a picture of what remains of a lotus after all of the stamen and petals have fallen off. It was a close call between this and a macro-ish of a bee on a flower (will post after the challenge is over) . . . I thought this one had more uniqueness too. My poor bumblebee couldn't compete with those I've seen here. I wish there was better DOF and focus on the entire area - not entirely sure it's possible from this angle and the stock lens . . . I was leaning over the edge of a bridge to get it!
