 I took a few images from different points of view but the cardboard box was not the center of attention or subject. I took about 10 shots during the first session and didn't like the results.

After viewing them on my computer and think about what how I could come up with a photograph that centered on the cardboard box and let it take up most the frame, I did a second shoot of about 10 images. Out of those ten this is the one I liked the most.

Processing:
-RAW conversion
-Converted to B&W with adjustments
-Slight venting (not to confuse with border nor take away anything from the image)
-Opened in CS3
-Levels
-Curves
-Added a tint of sepia
-USM
-Added border
-Resized to Web
-Saved for web @ 720x / 150kb

I love these boxes. This strikes a chord with me because my grandmother recently passed so I've spent awhile at her house digging through these kinds of photos. This was a great idea. The person in the bg looking at photos makes the shot.

Great idea for the challenge. Don't we all have our boxes of treasured photos? That group shot adds a slice of focus to the photo and reminds me of my own shoe box somewhere under my bed. Good luck in the challenge!

why is there a person in the background? i think the box with the photos would be fine by itself...

Nice choice of focus and DOF. Would like to see a different composition, though--maybe landscape orientation with the woman occupying a different lateral position than the box. Still, 7 for what you've done here.
