WOAH!!!! Lightning at Southwestern?! WHEN?! This is awesome. I have tried on about 3 occasions to catch a lightning shot and failed miserably.

Shelley I hope you do not mind but I had a quick go at this image to see what I would do with it if it were mine (I saw your post in the forum asking for suggestions etc) I think the image is really nice but a little flat and the lights are blown (not a lot I could do with those at my current skill level as I am learning daily too at the moment).

Awesome capture Shelly. The composition is really nice in this. In terms of editing I'm nothing special either hehe. but I can try to help. First thing is crop the bottom a bit and try using neat image or noise ninja if you have, to reduce the noise in the sky. Other than that I can't think of anything else. It's unfortunate though that it is out of focus. Great job nonetheless.
