Normally around here the sun does not look like this, But due to smoke from some wild fires up in northern Canada and Alaska, There has been a haze in the air on the western horizion and is causing the sun to produce some amazing light while setting the past few evenings.
PP. adjustments to levels, curves, contrast, hues and sats, highlights and shadows, reduced noise, resized added a border and saved for web.
Thanks for the comments and votes. However I got 3 1's, 4 2's and 14 3's. I imagine that is because this photo is not of a Basket of Apples or a vase full of flowers. It is really a shame that so many people on DPC can not bring themselves to think out of the box. It was mentioned in one comment that this is not a still life. Well last time I checked the sun was still in the same place it has been for the past trillion years. So definately not moving, as for the dead branch. That wasnt going anywhere either. Perhaps I should have done the traditional thing and took the branch home and put it in a vase.
