 My son Jeffrey and I went to Wyoming to hike and explore in the Grand Teton Mountains and Yellowstone National Park. Pictures do not do the beauty of the area justice. This was taken from the rim of a resevoir in the Grand Teton Park. The panorama was extraordinary. The mountains still had snow in mid July even though the temperature reached the mid 70's during the day. I was told that they had over 500 inches of snow this past winter with the last one in June and the kids did not miss a day of school!
The original of this picture took in more of the panorama but I chose to crop it to give it a more symmetric appearance. I used Levels and curves to bring out the colors, increase contrast and shadow/highlights to even out the lighting of the mid morning sun. Cloning was necessary to remove sensor dust, and the final image was sharpened and smoothed with Neat Image. This picture will certainly be one that will always remind me of the great experience I was able to share with my son.

Very sharp, and blue!!!
I wish the viewpoint could be a lot closer to the mountains and the horizon line not so close to the center. But that's just a nit pic.

WOWWW!!!! The water looks like its moving!! this one is one of my top 10 picks! HOW BEAUTIFUL!! (you should submit this to one of those beer commercials I can so see this as a lable on a bottle -and I don't drink!) :-) or a waterbottle... wow this should be an AD! KUDOS for amazing colors; beautiful detail; great cropping and the optical illusion of th ewater moving..... just...WOW!!!!!!
