Definitely prefer the crop as well - brings more attention to the beautiful colour of these flowers.
Edit to add - didn't even notice the ant until I read some of the other comments!

I prefer this cropped version and I think you also boosted saturation a bit? This is lovely and very "summery". The details in the bottom leaf are amazing. Good job! |

Definitely prefer this crop to the other, even though the other was very pretty. |

I like your edit. This one pops much more than the first. |

I like this crop better. Also the orange is more vibrant. |

I didn't notice the ant! This crop really draws you in more but I think the top was to close, imo. (that is unusual for me) I love filling the frame but I loved the background on the original. The colors on the flowers have been ramped up and it works! The leaf is no longer grabbing my attention. That darker flower in front is.
Good Job! |

nice maggye! works alot better with a tighter crop and upping the saturation makes it more dramatic |

Hey! That's not fair, Maggye. You did two! Of the two, I like this one the best. More detail. More saturation. Great bouquet. (Is that the right spelling to describe the background ?) |

I like this crop a lot better and it seems that the color was ramped up a bit too. Good decision. Nice start of the month ... with a happy shot. |

This is a much better crop. The other version had a lot of space that wasn't doing much to add interest to the photo. |
