 I had something totally different entered for this "Evening" challenge... until I voted on the Free Study for July and saw two images almost just like mine.

*heavy sigh*

So, just a few hours before voting, I changed to this one. *sigh again*

I hope I didn't make a mistake.

very nice macro work Lydia. Good detail in the wings. nice bokeh.
a little to out of the box for an evening challenge for a lot of voters I guess.

Great capture and nice background. I dont know if I like seeing the back end of the little guy though.

I love this photo. Wouldve been nice to have the entire thing be in focus (wings and tail a bit out of focus), but I cant have everything! Awesome photo!

Lovely muted colours with a nice sheen on the dragonfly tail. I like how the greens and blues of the dragonfly contrast with the mainly orange background. Lovely composition too.
