 The verdict is a Robber Fly

Trust me, this thing was huge. The glass it is sitting on is an old, thick, glass vase... 1/2 inch thick on rim to get perspective. Taken with a 50mm. Never seen anything like it... sort of a cousin to a dragonfly apparently.

i've never seen one this big tho .. you must breed them a lot bigger in america !!
