 Taken with canon powershot at arms length : )
natural lighting and a bit of selective desat in editing.


Looking back on this I dont particuarly like it, half of my face is burnt out a bit too much and my eyes are very misty; but it stood out to me at the time and it's great to see how I have improved. : )

I love the lighting, detail and composition of this, although I feel that the fact that you appear to be staring only slightly away from the lens is a little awkward. Perhaps it was because your eyes were focussed on the camera itself.

I agree with a lot of the other comments, it looks great in b&w and the subtle colour left in your eyes is nice.

The misty eyes are a little disturbing, but very effective with the haunting emotion you're already conveying. This is good.

I love the eyes - they look so funky cool in this shot. Great use of black and white with the smidge of color.

Wow.. lovely portrait. That's pretty great. You really seem to be paying attention to the light, which makes for some beautiful photos. The fact that there's no way anyone would have been able to tell that this is a p&s, or that you held the camera at arms length, says a lot about how good this is.

I like the eyes alot, but ya a little dodging and burning would make them pop even more. I like the composition and crop alot, and the subtle border works well oto.

very pretty, nicely composed, and the b/w really works well. only thing i wish were stronger were your eyes, a little dodge/burn goes a long way
