I was out driving around in Kingston, Ontario while visiting friends, and found this unused gravel road covered with apples that had fallen from the tree; they were still falling as I was taking pictures.

Editting included cropping, shadows/highlights, UM, Replace Color, dodging and burning, etc.

Nice shot! Maybe if you had cropped out the apple to the left, it would put all the emphasis on the lone apple in front. Nice bokeh too.

Nice idea. I think it would have worked better if there was only one apple in focus.

Neat use of selective desat! I personally would have wanted to darken the desaturated portions of the photo for a little extra pop. Black against color usually works better than grey against color. Just a thought. Also as a nitpick, that streak of blue in the upper left corner of the image is a little distracting. In any case this is a good image.

I like the idea but not the weird lines between areas of colour and desaturated areas. I'd love to see the original full-colour version. DOF and composition works for me.

I love the burst of color and the idea. I'm not sure I would have blurred the background so much. Seems a little distracting to me.
