Day 5

I wanted to try something like what escapetooz did here. I know I haven't gotten there, I really need to work on serious. That's one expression I don't have down. I wanted to get a little more of an angle on this so that my eye would be more visible, but it started sprinkling after about 10 shots so this is what I've got.

This was taken outside again with a sheet thrown over a fence as the bg. It's a stormy day so the lighting was very diffused, I used the on camera flash so that I could stop my aperture down more, still don't have the sharpest focus though. That's another thing I really haven't mastered. Advice is highly appreciated!

My first thought when I looked at this was how much you look like Britney Spears here.

You are getting a lot of mileage out of that fence lol. I'm going to go comment on the other one in a sec but I do think that the lighting is a bit more dramatic in the other one. This is still a pretty profile pic tho.

Like the negative space that your 'looking into'. Good, simple background which doesn't distract : )

It's nice, but the harsh light doesn't really help.

Very nice profile. Well done. I think a tighter crop would help accentuate your profile like in the sample pic you linked to.

I like it it is very soft in a good way. Monica's stuff is great and you will surely get there. I think I would like to see this with a tighter crop like hers, see what you think. As far as focus, I put something in the place of me like a tripod or a piece of tape on the back drop, focus the camera and then put the camera on manual focus. I also use a smaller aperture when I can to correct any focus issues with greater depth of field.

i like it, the onl thing i dont really like the the harsh light, but as you said, you used fill flash and it tends to do that sometimes, you probably wanted a high key look as well, on that term, great job, the tones are quite nice, and teh soft expression is really good
