Challenge: Silhouettes (Advanced Editing I)
Collection: What Was I Thinking?
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Captain's Cove in Bridgeport, CT
Date: Apr 18, 2004
Aperture: f/20
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/2000
Date Uploaded: Apr 18, 2004

Shot mid-afternoon on a gray day (and accidentally at ISO 400). I clipped the shadows to enhance the silhouette, used contrast and selective burning to bring out detail in the clouds, then a splash of color for interest. This is the first time I've ever had to clone out sensor dust- lucky I caught it on an advanced challenge!

Subtle but nice colors. Good composition.

Pretty, but I feel the whole picture is too dark. Too little contrast. Surprising amount of shadow detail, though.
