From the challenge description: "Silhouettes are created by backlit subjects, which causes them to appear solid and without much detail."
This is a nice shot, but I can't see how it fits the challenge.

I don't mind seeing some shadow detail in a silhouette shot, but this is stretching the challenge too much IMO.

Very nice picture of cactus spines. It is more of a profile than a silhouette though. The focus and color are excellent.

a prickly subject but you produced a nice "sharp" shot.

I bet you'll get loads of comments saying its not dark enough to be a silhouette but I don't care. Its backlit, its beautiful
