 My very first shot of the Perseids this year. Just doing a focus test shot when this meteor passed through the field of view, which turned out to be the largest of the meteors I managed to capture.

Lovely! When I was stationed at Edwards AFB many moons ago, we'd take our lawnchairs and go sit out in the middle of the desert in mid August to watch this. Not much light polution there, and just a darn pleasant environment. This brings back those memories.
