The black squirrel is quite common in vancouver actually, the sependipity of this shot was all the squirrels, i was trying to lure him over with some bird seed, and he was edging towards me, but then this other family threw him this huge cracker. I wasn't trying for serendipity but when got home realized it was there. : )
thanks for the votes and glad i got to show many of you the rare cajuned squirrel : ) |

Serendipity is a difficult concept to visualize. For me it means being at the right place, at the right time, and being lucky enough to capture something unique. Some of these entries are set up shots trying to illustrate that concept, and some record a serendipitous moment experienced by the photographer themselves. This is a good example of the latter. I like the colors, and a black squirrel is unusual. But I'm not sure it really represents serendipity. |

Nice capture.
Good angle, it looks posed and 'true' at the same.
You've also succeeded at depth of field where many others have failed. |

Cool black squirrel. I would have liked it cropped a little closer I think |

A black squirrel? Never seen one of those...
The pic seems to be sharpest just above his head. While the leaves are distracting the add to the earthy feel of it. |

Or is it a Ritz Cracker at the Windfall! It's cute and funny. If it was mine, I'd probably crop a bit tighter, but it's yours and you have a good image, hope you do well with it. |

Cute picture and title. I've never seen a black squirrel, they are all gray around here. The color and focus on your picture are very nice. |

nice shot. sharp, good use of depth of field. interest with the squirrel carrying the bootie. Also cropping is good....allows him somewhere to go in the picture. |

LOL very cute, nice shot with good depth of colors. I like this, maybe crop more out of the right side if you could. Good work. 8 |
