| Well, you knew it would do poorly, didn't you? But you really cleaned up on comments. the low averages with lots of fun comments makes for an interesting roller-coaster of a challenge. I gave it an 8, btw. |

| I'm not sure this meets criteria since it's black and white, I'm assuming the grapes are purple? Shame we can't see the colour, it'd make a great shot. |

| Hmmmm. Nice OOB thinking on this. But, how do I know they are not green grapes? Gotta give you a good score for both a well done image and making me have to think about it. Hope you don't get killed with DNMC votes, because this deserves to do well. |

| You're pushing it with an attempt like this on DPC. They could be really dark green grapes too. Or black ones with the right lighting... |

oh.. my..
I've seen masochists before, but you are taking it to extremes here!
The only trouble I have is do I score you low for not meeting the challenge, or do I score you high for taking a chance?
I'll give you a 5 for now and ponder this.
I pondered it. I just can't in all fairness give this more than a 5. Those grapes could be green, or red for all I know. If I give you a higher score, I have to give everyone else that doesn't have purple in their photo a higher score.

| Nice shot, well zoomed in and composed. The only thing is, though I know that some grapes are purple, there is no purple in the actual shot. Don't get me wrong, its incredouble powerful in black and white...but theres no purple! I wont mark it as i dont know how, as if it were purple i would have given it a high score, but I dont want to down mark you as its not. : ) |

Not a bad image, but a B&W for the purple challenge ?!

Reading carefully the submission's detail (Your submission should show or suggest to the viewer the color purple), I have to admit you suggest perfectly the purple color - and your suggested purple is actually better than some colored submissions.

| I think choosing B&W for a subject that comes in MANY colors, for a challenge about a specific color was a bad idea. Good luck. |

| Lighting and detail are nice; you've got a good range to tones here. I see you went with a suggestion of purple instead of a depiction of it. I get it, but I think there are images that more strongly smack me in the face with the idea of purple and are also technically strong. |

| True, grapes are purple but for this challenge I think people wanted to see true color. I think only purple grapes have this specific texture to them so I hope people wont say well maybe these where green ;) (no vote) |

| these could be green grapes for all we know.. i think doing completelty b/w in a challenge requiring a colour was maybe a bad idea... just my view on it.. |
