 I struggled to find an entry for the 'Better Than Average' side tourney. levyj413 shamed me into entering, so when this shot bombs, it is his fault...

Processing: Levels, Noise ninja, selective colors, hue/saturation, crop, resize for web, sharpen post resize.

My son James and I took our dog down to the water for a walk to go to the lighthouse and see the sunset. At this time of year, the sun is a bit too far north to really frame a shot well, but I couldn't wait until November to get the shot I had in mind. I like the red brick walkway and how it leads from the door to the sun and how the angles from the brickes and door lead back. Hopefully the voters agree!

I agree with your comments (the good parts, not the bombing parts). It's sad to see how scoring is playing out these days.

Lovely image with great lighting and a nice mix of textures and colors.

Oops. Sorry you didn't quite get to your average, but .0656 sure is close! Certainly better than a big fat zero for this week. :)

And it certainly didn't bomb!

Nice composition, nice lighting on the door, my only problem is that my eye is directed straight out of the picture by the brick walkway, nonetheless a nice shot, 6

beautiful shot, but the door is lost in it all IMO its not nearly as interesting as the rest of the shot
