Interesting that compared to other commenters, I didn't even notice the guy in the foreground. I noticed the wall woman (she's different!) then the waitress. They make an interesting pair and seem removed from the rest of the folks who are somewhat sandwiched inbetween them. Neat shot! |

Edgy stuff - the light streaming in from behind, the disinterested diners, the waitress overwhelmed - a bold effort for a FS. I think an area that could have really helped was a more purposeful focus on the waitress and her discouragement. |

I agree with colorcarnival and redjulep -- a great shot, but not for your average DPC-er. I also agree with the suggestion to check-out JPG Magazine. I have stuff over there, and what gets ignored here, usually does very well there, and vice-versa. Go figure. |

heh - I remember this from voting. It's one of those picures that jumps out and catches your attention. I think your work is too artsy for the average DPC voter. It reminds me more of the stuff that I have seen at JPG Magazine. You ought to check that sight out and have your pics get some love there. Fun catch and funky restaurant! |

Jeesh - you've got to know that I love this. What a shame that excellent moments like this are not recognized. Alain is awesome for being an appreciator of arty images. Everything in this photo fits so well and tells a story. I didn't vote on this FS, but I would have given this an 8 - easy. Love your edgy process, too. Keep truckin. |

This is a very nice candid, I like it and B&W works really good here. |

I think the contrast has been set too high in this image. The man's face in the foreground doesn't look right. It should either look darkened on purpose, or be light enough to keep his features recognizable. Still, it's an unusual image compared to all the others, and to me that's at least a 5. |

Good idea but the focus is on the guy in the foreground isn't it? |
