Challenge: The Road Less Traveled (Basic Editing)
Camera: Nikon D50
Lens: Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DC HSM for Nikon
Location: Twin Peaks, San Francisco
Date: Aug 22, 2008
Aperture: f14
ISO: 200
Shutter: 13 s
Galleries: Cityscape, Sky
Date Uploaded: Aug 22, 2008

I took a pretty obvious interpretation of the challenge. Market Street which is apparently the first street to turn on its street lights in SF, was the road most taken and Twin Peaks Blvd, the road out of the city and gives you the perspective of seeing the city as a whole is the road less traveled. Thank you for the comments and votes, but it seems goodman's entry was really the favorite with its favorites during the challenge. Thanks again everyone!

I used a couple GND density filter and a long exposure to paint the light even across the exposure. It was really windy and I think I lost some detail. But I am happy with the result. :)

I forgot to mention, my second challenge was a Road challenge which I did very poorly and had been waiting for an excuse to re-shoot. Here was that entry, I have learned a lot from this place during that time.

That's a marvelous shot, and the wind didn't hurt it at all. The moving headlights put some extra punch in the curve in the road.
Congrats on the # 1 !

Sick vista. It probably would have worked better to have NO cars on the 'road less traveled' but it isnt a perfect world :)

Another photo that I want to score at 10 but sort of feel it's 'More Traveled' then 'Less' and originally scored it at 8 but decided not to fight it and changed it to 10. It's certainly less traveled then the roads down in the valley and your 'High Road' message is very nice. It's probably a ribbon contender even though I honestly feel other photos are more deserving. But it's an AWESOME photo! Why not: 10

cool! such a great shot from twin peaks and that classic pastel pink and blue sunset, great!...as far as the challenge, that's a pretty well-traveled road. but I still think it's a good one.
