M13 lies 25000 light years away, at the constellation of Hercules, the greatest hero of Greek mythology. It contains approximately 300000 old stars (comparable with the accepted age of the Universe).

This is an improved version of my submission image in the "Night Sky" challenge

Details:
Telescope : Celestron C8 SCT f6.3 (with focal reducer)
Mount : Takahashi EM200 Temma II Jr
Camera : Canon 350D Baader modified
Exposure : 25 x 60 sec Lights (ISO 1600), unguided
25 Darks
25 Bias
were aligned, calibrated and stacked in DSS for this final composite image (92.63% of the original FOV)
