Dark scene with dark background and clouds. The only light is from the child's face.

Old clock, old painting as background, my son's reflection. Light on his face supplied by a reading lamp. That was the most difficult part.

Some cropping, light and contrast, green filter.

Very moody. I like it!

Thank you. I afterwards felt I should have tried harder to make the reflection more recognizeable.

Very interesting setup. After reading your comments this photo clicks a little better. If your son's face was a tad more recognizable it may have come across stronger. May have to keep an eye on you - I like the way you see things. :-)

Something about this strikes a chord with me. I love how you chose to keep this in a darker tone.

This is a great image; I really like the dramatic light and shadow.

However, I don't feel it fits the definition of abstract art particularly well (though better than many in this challenge!) -- to quote from abstract art on Wikipedia: "Abstract art uses a visual language of form, color and line to create a composition which exists independently of visual references to the world."

Interesting low-key shot (probably getting hammered on it being dark). As an abstract I'm not sure it works because the subject is quite identifiable. That's JMO of course. Good luck in the challenge.

I don't see the abstract angle to this.

Just not abstract enough. Dark but thats about it.
