Title is a quote by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832)

This image is quite melancholy; ironically I photographed it during a wedding I was shooting. I had the white balance set around 3800k because I was shooting in a church with tungsten lighting galore. A few pews were lit nicely with natural light streaming through stained glass where I saw these rangers bowing their heads in prayer during the wedding ceremony. It gave them a bluish glow which created a really moody image, and I ran with that theme in my processing.

Im hoping for 6+ I really like this image.

A nice title (I should recognise the quote but I'm afraid I don't) and fits the plight of these brave men and women perfectly. There is a combination of natural trepidation but resoluteness in your subjects, particularly the main focal point of the young man second from the right. I like the way you've shot them from the side, giving the photo physical depth to go with the emotional depth in the shot.

Very well done. One of my top picks for the challenge. in fact a 10 from me.

At first glance, this image stands out as being different, and the title links really well to the image. Both halves of the quote contain elements in this image. However, the more I look at the image, the more I want from it. It seems to stop at the first powerful glance. To try for some technical suggestions, maybe it is something odd about the crop with the faces so close to the top, but for the shot taken, the crop is probably right - the heads, the uniforms, the handrail and hands, it all needs to be there, and nothing more. I do like the dark blue colouring.
