Converted from RAW
toning via b/w adjustment in CS3
levels, sat, some dodge and burn on layers
light gaussian blur on layer
cloned small white spot above eye
resize and USM

I dunno how well this one will go over with the DPC crowd but I really, really like it. It's very difficult to get good motion blurs on horses but this one is pretty successful as far as that goes. Maybe I won't replace it at the last minute, we'll see.

Post challenge: This wasn't a Horse(s) challenge outtake, I shot it 3 weeks before the Horse(s) Challenge came up! I almost didn't enter it, because it's not "DPCish" but I liked it so much I had to take the points hit for my FSM anyway!

I'm not a fan of this type of shot, but you have done it well. You have given the image a frenetic sort of action feel, and your B&W treatment enhances that feeling.
