 This little boy stood under his house watching all the other kids playing. It looked as if he wanted to go play but was too shy to do it. We gave him some candy and he smiled for us.

His house stands on stilts so during the wet season when the Amazon river rises his house just floats on the river. Underneath the houses when the river is down the whole part of the city looks like it is on a landfill. It was a wonderful experience to go see this part of the world and I can't wait to go back.

This is very emotive. The b&w works well, I imagine this looks quite nice in colour as well. There seems to be a slight halo around the boy, sharpening? or is the DOF engineered in pp?
