 I was experimenting with this techinique, since this is my first SLR camera, and I got it less than a week ago!

Overexposed - yes. I think that some different editing though could have allowed this image to have a stronger impact. I do like blurry images so thats not an issue for me. Had you bumped the blacks up and maybe saturated the other colors a bit more this could have been a cool artistic piece. Could have had more pop. Overexposed doesnt mean that everything has to be lighter.
