kites, good idea to use as puppets, too bad this isn't more in focus or maybe if the kites or kite was more the subject, my eye goes to the two guys flying the kites first

Ohhhhh noooooo.....

I'm going for 100% comments, so here goes......bear in mind I am trying to be constructive. Basically a good concept, but IMO the "puppets" would have been a better concept had you found some kind of people or critter kites. The image is a little washed/overexposed, and the focus is too soft. I hope you find this helpful.

Kites aren't puppets of any sort to my mind, it's a nice enough shot though.

Tighter cropped shot of just the kites would work better for me

surely they would be kits, no?

interesting take on the challenge; nice shapes in the sky- it seems a bit OOF to me? (was that intentional...?) nice gradient in the sky

Yeah... I don't get it.

Nice try, but a title does not always make it so.

I like your creative interpretation! Kites are like puppets on strings! I think I would have liked to see more of the standing subject's shadow rather than the empty ground on the right. I think you did the right thing here in making the horizon line so low so the ground texture would not overwhelm the kites in the empty sky.

That might be a stretch.
