Someone told me that photographing glass is hard. They were not kidding.

Lots of trial and error with ways to soften the lighting yet still get a high key image without blowing out the highlights. Thanks to my wife to helping with the various diffusers and reflectors. And thanks to dremel for making cookie cutting so easy. This idea was inspired by a friend that took a similar shot. They said they want through a 1 pound bag of cookies (not eating them) to get one to break in just the right way. I did this with two cookies by using a dremel to notch the cookie.

I like this but the canvas is a little tall. The image goes below the fold when viewing on my desktop of 1280x800.

this is a great edited picture, the only thing i think that would help is if the glass was a little bit more visable, it took me a second to see it..

great idea and picture , love it =)

I don't really like the way the glass and milk seem to disappear into the bright background - leaves the biscuit kinda hanging around in thin air.

The is perfect. New twist on a timeless concept. I only wish that cookie had been dunked in the milk first for effect.

Nice idea, gret focus and lighting, maybe a different color b/g, to make the milk stand out a little more, otherwise nice, 6.
