This is a direct copy of the Instruction Manual that came with my Nikon EM (my first SLR camera). I scanned the original cover... seen below:

I really liked the 1970's look to the picture, so I re-did it... Luckily the camera is still in mint shape... I can't take the credit for that... I only got into Photography about a year ago... I bought this little beauty used and worked my way up from there... I have had about 10 different film cameras since this one and this is one of the two I kept... this camera is amazing!!! the meter gives DEAD ON shots every time!!!.... anyways... back to my entry...

I spent all day Saturday with my Fiance driving around collecting all the props for the picture... then we spent some time driving around to all kinds of different parks until I found the perfect bench, then about an hour taking the picture.. it took about 20 minutes to get everything where I wanted it in the frame, and then about 100 shots later... I think it is pretty close... if you look close, you can see the shutter remote in my right hand =)

Now... as far as my score... IF i could post the original instruction manual cover I scanned along with this pic, then I think it would do quite well.... BUT i can't... so I'm really not sure how well it will do... either way, we had a fun Saturday taking the picture...

Just in case anyone wants the technical details... I used my D50 with the Kit 18-55mm (at 55mm) with a SB-800 mounted on the camera... I pointed the sb-800 right up and put a Garry Fong Lightsphere II Cloud on the flash... this didn't quite light the camera body up the way I wanted, so I also used a SB-600 wirelessly from the left of the camera with a homemade snout pointing directly at the camera... the SB-600 was at -3.00 (very weak, but still necessary) and the sb-800 was at -0.300... the sun took care of the lighting on me and my fiance on the bench...

I think you did a great job with this shot! I would have turned the camera lens so it pointed at the viewer rather than out of the frame. Otherwise, nothing I can add...

you got totaly ripped, I gave you a 9. I think it's great. When I saw it I thought it looked exactly as an ad for the camera would look, seems I was right:)

you certainly did a good job replicating the original...well done...bad luck that it didn't get the result you anticipated

Two bottles! Looks like a good time. Great shot - limited DOF works great, composition and lighting too.

Lol. I like this shot. Has the same feel as an ad from back in that era.

Very nice, I like the framing on this and think there's a great connection between foreground and background with the use of the sparkling wine and fruit in both places.

Looks good, though I'd have the camera facing us dead-on.

Even though the camera is in sharp focus, the bg colors call my attention a bit more, but overall I think you did a good job

I think the lens on the camera is slightly OOF but great otherwise.
