 I seem to have so little time these days. This is a bit of a rush job and there are many things I'd like to fix if I had time to reshoot...
...the DOF could be a little bigger
...the fingers on each side would be better in a more symetrical manner
...the dirt on the fingers in the right should be removed
...the root at the left should go
...I'd prefer another 0.5cm at the bottom of the shot but it just wasn't in the frame.

If I was voting on the image then these would be the difference between a 6 and a 7 vote so I expect a "not so great" score for this, maybe a mid/high 5? Oh well, at least my DPC addiction is fed for another week :)

OK, so here we are in the last day of voting and the score is steady around 6.1/6.2 - I now wish I had made the time to reshoot as a few voters agree with me about the things that need fixing. Who knows what could have been with this shot?

You've certainly used shallow DOF well here. Just a nit pick but the stray root on the left side sticks out as being distracting for me.

Excellent Photo. Depth of field is synonymous, and redundant, with flowers. but this one actually captures the eye.

I like this...but, it is really missing some green/leaves. It doesn't look natural with a stem just sticking out of the ground. You do have really nice focus on this though.

I like the focus on the flower, the only minor thing is what's coming out from the left hand (i'm being picky here),but I think this looks great!
