Well, I suppose it was predictable that this type of shot would be under-rated at DPC since it's not a shot you can just absorb in 2.4 seconds. I was reading some of the other comments below and wanted to add that I disagree about the lens flare being a detracting feature. For me it really helps add balance to the picture, but that is clearly subjective.

Congratulations on a great commenter's score (those that took the time to apreciate your great shot) and good luck with the next challenge.

Lovely capture. I particularly like the colors on the bottom and contrast in the top. I'm not sure what it is, but the gray semi-circle in the top distracted me at first until I caught the contrasting golden one in the bottom, and then it all seemed to fit together. There's just a nice overall flow to this shot that makes it enjoyable. Thanks.

The lighting is great and the grasses are lovely with the flowers in the background. It appears that you have a large area of lens flare at the top of the shot which detracts from the image IMO.

I like the lacy feel of the subject, and the pretty colors and design of the abstract background.
