 I took a few shots of leaves on my way home today with my 50 mm 1.8. I played around with different angles trying to contrast the yellow leaves with the ones that were still green. I figured I had some okay shots and based on what I had on my LCD I wasn't sure I had anything even worth entering. I actually kinda like this one. It almost has a floral look to it in my opinion.

sounds picky, but the leaf in the bottom right spoils the composition. cropping out the bottom 5% would have helped.

Ahhh... autumn. The mixture of sadness and excitement that comes to me at this time of year. Sadness for the warmth and joy of summer, excitement for beauty of the change.

Having said that, there's not a lot of excitement in this photo.

I like the leaves swirling off into the background as detail falls off. Nice use of the challenge technique with a background that provides context for the story.
