 I thought the image was "interesting" in that the focus is *obviously* extremely shallow (just look at what is in or out of focus on the paper) AND YET the buttons on the calculator were still in focus. This was due to the angle of the lens which put the buttons onto the same plane as the words on the paper.

Anyway... an interesting effect without an interesting subject obviously doesn't translate into a great score. Still, I had fun trying. :)

Nice focusing, good lighting and clarity, to me not the most interesting of subjects, but technically a good photo, 8.

No thanks! So glad those days are over for me :) Excellent dof and shows good control of light and equipment, just not overly exciting a subject.

It's a nice picture...but I have to say, I don't like that the focus is all over. To me, there isn't really a strong focal point. Is it the alpha button or the part of the paper that's in focus.

Cool shot! I think a regular pencil might have worked better than the mechanical one but still a very nice use of DoF!
