Outstanding. The minute I saw this photograph, I knew it was Cannon Beach and I longed for it. I love the way you captured the mist of the water and the colors are brilliant. Nice photograph. |

Thanks voters and commenters, I'm quiet happy with the place I got. I also got my highest point score, so that was pretty cool. I hope to score this highly again, without using my beautiful coastline as the subject. |

Stunning photo! Great control of detail in foreground while zooming in on the Rock in the background, while offering us the wonders of multi-colored ridges in the far background. Some of the finest DOF work in this challenge! Delighted you placed in the top 10. In my mind, this photo should have been a ribbon winner. Keep sending DP Challenge such wonders of the natural landscape! Zoomdak rocks!

The bird creates a nice 'serendipity' element in this photo :) This is a beautiful composition and a great shot for this challenge. |

I love the way this picture has interest in every layer of depth, and in how it its DOF shows great detail on the gull's rock, and the point in the mid-ground while fading out the far background. Great control - I hope I can pull that off some day! |

A photo any tourism board would be thrilled with. Absolutely beautiful, and the gull on the rock makes it. |

Perhaps oversharpened in the watery foreground--see the little digital noisy things? Also around the distant rock--see the white halo around it? Still, I wanna go here! Very nice image. Superb point of view here and exposure. 9 |

Lovely image, I love the haze and the different green and blue colors. Strong composition. I like the inclusion of the seagull, although my eye is jumping from the seagull to the rock on the right and back, but it makes the image more interesting. In my top 3. |

The landscape and composition are lovely, but the picture seems oversharpened. |

This is a beautiful shot, with the spray misting up the surface and the ranges of hills fading to paler and paler colours as they recede. It looks a nice place to live. |

Nice mix of fore-, mid- and background interest. Nice composition with left foreground rock balancing right of centre midground rock. Lovely colours too and the gull adds just the right touch of detail. |

Nice of the bird to stop by and pose for you! Lovely shot. The water in the front looks a little over sharpened or something, but it's a minor thing. I think the composition is excellent. I might also run it through Neat Image or the like to try to reduce some of the noise. |
