I dont get the concept of safety on this, but coming back and looking at it before I remembered what challenge it was I was thinking that this is a cool shot. Just has a cool, odd kind of gritty feel to it. Very interesting. |

Great idea. I think that the subject of the photo is the safety pin, yet the martini glass grabs the attention due to the composition of the photo. |

I wonder how many people will over look this and accuse you of shoe horning.
Nice shot. Good lighting. I like how you've used the shadow from the glass to "point out" the safety pin. |

it took me a while to see the pin. I don't like the shadow on the woman. I had to figure out what it was. Maybe a little brighter. |

I dont see the safety aspect of this. (Although if I think waaaaay outside the box I can imagine its to do with a drink being spiked?)
I like the image though and it would have benefitted from a stronger focus on the glass.

I'll admit freely that I don't get this at all. I see the safety pin on the strap, but I don't know what the focal point is. I see the martini glass, then the stripes of the mini-blinds, then the shadows of the drink against her dress, then the safety pin. I suppose that the fact that my eye was actually brought into the story in such a fashion is actually a good thing. But the subtly in this one is really obtuse. |

In a pinch...what? I'm guessing that's a safety pin holing your shoulder strap up. Or maybe a bread tie. Maybe it's not even a dress: maybe it's a garbage bag? Maybe it's not even a girl. But, I get your idea, it's an interesting photo and in my opinion very artistic which I totally respect. Against my better judgment I'm scoring your photo a 10. |

Back to comment and bump: Safety is a tough subject for a challenge and after a second look; I can appreciate your take on the subject. Hopefully, the DNMC Police don't hit you too hard, as the connection doesn't hit you over the head. I love the post processing on this image and I believe you executed your idea about as well as could be done. Good luck with your score. |

Great photo, but I don't see how safety is involved. |

I like how the glass leads to the shadow of the glass which leads to the safety pin. Nice subtlety there. I like the picture, too. Good composition. |

Safety pin, very clever, I'd never have thought of that. Good shot. |
