Nice thought! This has to be unique, although I still have to go through more pictures. Perhaps a little better white balance would help? How about desaturating it, and cropping so the second dog isnt seen? |

Ok, now I see you've put the question mark after your title. No, I don't think he is very safe or secure which kind of defeats the purpose of the challenge. His position is more like he's taking a risk by laying there. It's a cute dog though and the contrasting colors are good as well as your focus. |

Reminds me of the scene in The Fox and the Hound, when Copper finds Tod under the woodpile. |

something's wrong with the composition. I think the centered subject makes the random stuff on the edges seem... well... random. |
