Beautiful job with the detail in the dark tones. I'm not usually that big a fan of the blurred-water look, but it goes well with the sharply-defined rocks. |

I am revisiting this photo. The title doesn't tell me anything about where you live and I can't tell from the picture. The photo is neat, though, so I'll raise my vote. I like the water effect. B/W is nice and so is composition. Overall: 7 |

Not sure how this relates to the theme of the challenge. Nice shot though. |

I like much: The B&W for this gives great contrast. The long shotting time.
I like less: The dark zone in the middle left.
Score: 8 |

A dramatic b & white with well-contained contrasts and defined detail. The slow shutter speed, here, actually serves the purpose to proliferate the rock formation and its undulating texture as the photo's primary subject. While not a quiet picture (the highlights are strong, at least in part/the viewer is drawn into it via a spraying cataract), the composition is balanced by the available light and anchored by darkness. What I find particularly satisfying is the strong impression of depth realized and captured here.
The title, however, strikes me as somewhat too broad in scope and ambiguous for an image like this.
Nevertheless, there are none better than this (IMHO) in this challenge. |

WONDERFUL black and white rendition. Great crisp whites and dark dark blacks. Ansel would be proud of you. Just the perfect shutter speed to capture the velvety water. One of my favorites so far but I'm sure you will probably have some voters question that it shows "where you live." Obviously a well-planned image. Perhaps the water is a bit over, but it doesn't bother me. |

nicely done with the water so smoky and the lines on the rocks are great. |

I would have cropped this just above the large white blown out spot at the bottom right. Then it would have been perfect. As it is, that spot is a major distraction. Aside from that, this canyon is just gorgeous, and your use of black and white works really well. |

Not quite sure how this is where you live, or evolution is where you live, but it is a superb image. Looks great in black and white, excellent technical. Love the cavern walls and the water flow. 7 |
