This is a great learning shot. Basically, your score indicates "needs improvement". Some things that would probably improve the shot - straighten the photo - the line between the wall & floor is sloped; cropping - there is a lot more room to the left of the paint cans than to the right of the stirring stick, and the additional space serves no purpose; shot is too dark; while no setup is OK, you still have to have something of interest in your photo - the paint cans are all turned so the tiny print instructions and blank parts are facing the camera.
On the positive side, you went down to almost the floor to get a good perspective; the arrangement of the pan, brushes, and stirrer is hodgepodge but interesting.
If you don't have photo editing software, you can pick up Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 for under $100 (if you watch sales, about $49 - at least here in the US). It is the very rare shot that does not need some editing to improve.
Most of all, don't give up. Yes, a low score is disappointing, but take a look at my profile - I scored in the 3's the same week you did. I am still learning, but I've learned a lot.
Looking forward to more of your work.
